Troublemaker

Song time! Since you, the person sitting, lying or maybe floating (I don't want to discriminate anyone, you know) behind the display, are one of my fellow readers who has read ALL of my posts because you think that my blog is SO amazing... Well, what was I going to say? Oh, right, this post. Well, every term there's at least one song between my posts. Usually, these are songs I like very much because of their meaning (a part from the sound which, well, is also a considerable factor of a song to some people) and their message.
But always the same gets boring after a while. The same philosophical stuff every term.. I mean, I'm going to take a philosophy exam next Monday, so I should save up my mental diarrhea for that test.
Consequently, there's going to be nothing else but the lyrics and the video this time. Sorry for anyone who expected more. In fact, I only do this for you. It would be too boring, believe me.

Troublemaker by Maroon 5 and Pitb by Olly Murs ft. Flo Rida

You're a troublemaker...You're a troublemaker... / Du bist eine Unruhestifterin... Du bist eine Unruhestifterin...
(it almost hurts to traduce this nice word into its German equivalent..)
You ain't nothing but a troublemaker girl / Du bist nichts als eine Unruhestifterin

You had me hooked again from the minute you sat down / Du hattest mich wieder am Haken von der Minute an, in der du dich hinsaßt
The way you bite your lip got my head spinnin' around / Die Art, wie du dir die Lippe beißt, ließ meinen Kopf herumwirbeln
After a drink or two I was putty in your hands / Nach ein oder zwei Gläsern war ich Wachs in deinen Händen
I don't know if I have the strength to stand / Ich weiß nicht ob ich die Kraft habe durchzustehen

Oh oh... / Oh oh... (notice the German accent)
Trouble troublemaker, yeah, that's your middlename / Unruhe Unruhestifterin, ja, das ist dein Zweiter Name
Oh oh... I know you're no good but you're stuck in my brain / Oh oh... Ich weiß, du taugst nicht, aber du steckst in meinem Gehirn fest
And I wanna know / Und ich will wissen

Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad? Oh oh oh.../ Warum fühlt es sich so gut an, aber tut so weh? Oh oh oh...
My mind keeps saying: run as fast as you can / Mein Verstand sagt immernoch: lauf so schnell du kannst
I say I'm done but then you pull me back. Oh oh oh... / Ich sage ich bin fertig, aber dann ziehst du mich wieder zurück. Oh oh oh...
I swear you're giving me a heart attack. Troublemaker! / Ich schwöre du bescherst mir eine Herzattacke. Unruhestifterin!

It's like you're always there in the corners of my mind / Es ist als ob du immer da wärst, in den Ecken meiner Gedanken
I see your silhouette every time I close my eyes / Ich sehe deine Silhouette jedes Mal wenn ich meine Augen schließe
There must be poison in those finger tips of yours / Du muss Gift sein in diesen Fingerspitzen von dir
Cause I keep coming back again for more / Denn ich komme weiterhin immer wieder zurück für mehr

Oh oh... / Oh oh...

Oh oh oh...

Maybe I'm insane/ Vielleicht bin ich wahnsinnig
Cause I keep doing the same damn thing / Denn ich tue immernoch die selbe verdammte Sache
Thinking one day we gonna change / Im Glauben, dass wir uns eines Tages verändern werden
But you know just how to work that back / Aber du weißt wie du es wieder schaffst (my own interpretation since I can't find "work back" with a fitting meaning)
And make me forget my name... / Und mich meinen Namen vergessen lassen
What the hell you do I won't remember / Was zur Hölle du auch tust, ich werde mich nicht erinnern
I'll be gone until November / Ich werde weg sein bis November
And you'll show up against next summer, yeah! / Und du wirst dich nächsten Sommer wieder blicken lassen, yeah!
Typical middle name is Prada / Typischer Zweitname ist Prada
Fit you like a glove girl / Passen dir wie ein Handschuh, Mädel
I'm sick of the drama / Ich hab den Hals voll von dem Drama
You're a troublemaker / Du bist eine Unruhestifterin
But damn girl it's like I love the trouble / Aber verdammt, Mädel, es ist als ob ich die Unruhe liebe
And I can't even explain why / Und ich kann nicht einmal erklären warum
(as expected, the rap part is the most poetic one...)

Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad? Oh oh oh.../ Warum fühlt es sich so gut an aber tut so weh? Oh oh oh...

Summer hypothesis 1.1

#fun #summer #instasummer #instafreak #installaprogramme #dumb

1.1 and not simply "part 2" because all my yoursays this term are going to be a part of the "Summer hypothesis" series.

...

I think the only day in the whole year I don't try to fool anyone is the 1st of April, you know why? Because most people already expect it. And because I can't win against the annual Google April Fools prank. They're just amazing. You saw that 16-bit Google Maps last year?

But weeeeeeell, back to the topic. What else have I planned for this summer?

  • (Maybe) do the theorical part of the driving license
Yep, I'm already 17 know, next year there are two big changes for me that I have to consider:
1. I'll have the proper age to drive a car.
2. If I don't watch out, they'll have the right to lock me up in a prison. No more juristic protection... Well, that's growing up guys. That, and also when you realise that you can't eat as many sandwiches as you could as a youngster anymore...
So I just thought that I could make use of these three months and get rid of the theorical part of the exam. I'd like to have my license early after my next birthday (in May) and since I'll do 2nd of Batxillerat next year (if I pass the exams, first conditional), it would be fine if I could skip at least SOMETHING I have to study for. Well, this is still just a, well, a hypothetical plan, but I think it's a good idea.

  • (Hopefully) visit my best friend and my grandparents in Germany and (please God please) finally do a trip to the Gamescom with Lars
This is the plan I'm most skeptical about because the first part, the visiting, was something I wanted to do every summer since I came here. And it only came true for fifty percent, in numbers, 50%, in numbers 2 of the 4 summers. And to go to the Gamescom one day is a wish I've kept deep inside my heart since the day I saw the sunlight for the first time. Which was at the age of 11 or 12, when I first stopped playing videogames 24 hours a day and I realised that there was a world outside. A world with a games fair.
Yep, the Gamescom is a big videogames fair. It takes place every year in the end of August in Cologne. Well, I suppose there's no need to make up reasonable explanations of why I'd like to go there. It's obvious that what attracts me is the fascinating architecture of the building where they organise it. Lars wants to go there because of the games. What a low-bro(w).

  • Recover my necessary dose of visual interactive digital adventures
Lately, I had practically no time for some good friends who've been waiting for too long. They asked me to accompany them on some trips and as a (mato fato) gentleman, I couldn't turn down their requests.
So, what I still have to do, and there's no doubt that it's going to be done is:
- Free some mansions of a ghost plague together with an underhyped but comically likeable Italian called Luigi.
- Fill up a gap in my education and my future curriculum and finally complete Super Mario World!!! Listen to this soundtrack and then look into my eyes and say that it hasn't become an earworm to you:

- Rescue a certain princess two times, first discovering the beauty of the seasons and then even travelling through different ages to save the world once and for all... Well, until the next Zelda game comes out. Which is this autumn. I'm going to die.
- Transform into an Axew and explore dungeons
- Play my first Castlevania (and this being a huge Metroid fan, I know what you're thinking, this makes no sense...)
- Hunt monsters

And I think that's all. As you can see, now that I'm 17 (I can't say it enough times ^.^), I'm more serious about my future and I plan carefully how I'm going to make use of the three upcoming months. Ah, right, I forgot to say that this list is in the opposite order of priority. So the first ones are obviously the dispensable options and then things are getting more important until the last plan.

Finally, I'd like to apologize for all the insider content about gaming, but explaining every game would take more than 6 yoursays and thus more than a 10 as a mark. Since the latter consequence is not possible, applying a simple Modus Tollens we can deduct that it's also impossible for me to explain all the games. Nothing but pure logic. Ask Albert if you have any questions.

I just can't stop doing insider freak jokes...
Talking about insider jokes, try to find all the How I Met Your Mother references in this post, there are 3! A little hint: two of them are very close to each other.

Summer hypothesis

Or said in 08/15 standard language: my summer plans.
Well, it's the last time for yoursays this year and since I'm so eager to start into the summer, why not talk about the things I plan to do (or at least I'd like to do), put a weird-sounding title on the post and get a feeling like if it already was summer? Why not?
Because of the damn weather today, that's why I'm not getting into a summer feeling -_-

But let's keep the pessimism out and let's make a little to-do list:

  • One thing that is part of the definition of summer: f*****g relax!
Oh yeah, it's almost time to erase completely even the slightest bit of daily routine and stay up until the sun is about to rise (the perfect time to go to sleep in summer is exactly the moment when a certain chemical reaction in your brain makes you notice that you should go to sleep because it's almost the time you would wake up on a school day...) (nah, that's too much, at least one hour before...). Just to get up the next day at the time you would come home on a school day...
I think I'm the only human on this planet who writes more inside parentheses than outside in a whole paragraph..

  • Another part of the definition of summer: school work! Yuhu........... Wait, what!?
Yes, you read correctly. School work. Well, still better than getting up early. I guess.
What do I have to do? The classic one of course, the research project. Neutrino stuff, the usual s***. A little electron here, a little proton there... I still remember the moment I heard about one of our presentations next year: Our research project. You know, imagine our class being forced to listen approximately 7-8 minutes about neutrinos. It's rather complicated, very specific, alien topic and so on, you know? Now imagine how much they'll understand. I mean, I do this project and don't tell it to anyone, but the first time I tried to comprehend what Wikipedia was telling me about quantic physics, a big cloud with a "?" printed on it appeared above my head. Now imagine ALL THAT... in English.
They'll probably prefer funny videos. Penguins. Penguins are funny.
And then there's a whole year of the technology subject that I have to catch up. You know, I failed all the exams and I'm going to do the retake test in September.
Just kidding. Actually I chose biology this year instead of technology and my mind changed along with my motivation to memorize more biological names. Well, also, I like physics and chemistry most, and it's more related to technology, don't you think? So it's a good choice for my mental health and for my future to change. But I don't regret having done a year of biology. Susi's a very good teacher and especially the first two terms were really interesting. We did biochemistry, so it still had a lot of concepts that were useful and probably will be useful to me in the future.

And now. Have a break, have a Kit Kat. No, better not, poor animals :(
But since I'm probably the only one to write posts THAT large, I decided to divide this post into two parts. Better for my "time economy" and better for you. Because American scientists found out that too long blog posts from Batxillerat students in Castelló d'Empúries damage the health of their readers. Really! Oh, and it also puts into danger a lot of animal species. So let's save some animals!

Global Warming Quiz

I once said that I'd try to stop being a perfectionist... Well, it's just, games and quizzes... It's not the same, alright? >.<

The correct answers are:

1. False (not only by natural factors)
2. China (emits the most greenhouse gases)
3. Venus (has a toxic atmosphere probably as a result of emitting greenhouse gases)
4. Compact fluorescent (are the kind of lightbulbs which need less energy)
5. 150.000 (deaths per year due to global warming)
6. 100 years (the time it takes to carbon dioxide to disintegrate in the atmosphere)
7. Narwhals (are the most endangered species due to global warming)
8. True (global warming is accelerated because of the melting of the ice-covered surfaces)
9. True (rising temperatures increase the risk of malaria)
10. Daytime (the time of a day a plane causes less damage to the atmosphere)
11. Sometimes (the hybrid cars save fuel)
12. All of the above (insurance companies, the fishing industry and wine commerce will suffer from global warming)

What surprised me? Well... carbon dioxide takes 100 years to disintegrate in the atmosphere? Lluïsa, you didn't tell us that!
(oh oh oh, hopefully she'll never read this blog.. or at least not before 2015 :P)
Nah, but I didn't expect either that the melting of the ice-covered surface, which already is a consequence of global warming, even accelerates global warming. Well, it's quite logical if you think about it. The ice reflects the sunbeams quite well, so if they disappear, more warmth will be absorbed by the Earth and so the temperatures rise even more. But it's a bad chain of causes and consequences that lead to even worse consequences... How about saving the planet? Just an idea, I'm doing some brainstorming.
