1.1 and not simply "part 2" because all my yoursays this term are going to be a part of the "Summer hypothesis" series.
...
I think the only day in the whole year I don't try to fool anyone is the 1st of April, you know why? Because most people already expect it. And because I can't win against the annual Google April Fools prank. They're just amazing. You saw that 16-bit Google Maps last year?
But weeeeeeell, back to the topic. What else have I planned for this summer?
- (Maybe) do the theorical part of the driving license
Yep, I'm already 17 know, next year there are two big changes for me that I have to consider:
1. I'll have the proper age to drive a car.
2. If I don't watch out, they'll have the right to lock me up in a prison. No more juristic protection... Well, that's growing up guys. That, and also when you realise that you can't eat as many sandwiches as you could as a youngster anymore...
So I just thought that I could make use of these three months and get rid of the theorical part of the exam. I'd like to have my license early after my next birthday (in May) and since I'll do 2nd of Batxillerat next year (if I pass the exams, first conditional), it would be fine if I could skip at least SOMETHING I have to study for. Well, this is still just a, well, a hypothetical plan, but I think it's a good idea.
- (Hopefully) visit my best friend and my grandparents in Germany and (please God please) finally do a trip to the Gamescom with Lars
This is the plan I'm most skeptical about because the first part, the visiting, was something I wanted to do every summer since I came here. And it only came true for fifty percent, in numbers, 50%, in numbers 2 of the 4 summers. And to go to the Gamescom one day is a wish I've kept deep inside my heart since the day I saw the sunlight for the first time. Which was at the age of 11 or 12, when I first stopped playing videogames 24 hours a day and I realised that there was a world outside. A world with a games fair.
Yep, the Gamescom is a big videogames fair. It takes place every year in the end of August in Cologne. Well, I suppose there's no need to make up reasonable explanations of why I'd like to go there. It's obvious that what attracts me is the fascinating architecture of the building where they organise it. Lars wants to go there because of the games. What a low-bro(w).
- Recover my necessary dose of visual interactive digital adventures
Lately, I had practically no time for some good friends who've been waiting for too long. They asked me to accompany them on some trips and as a (mato fato) gentleman, I couldn't turn down their requests.
So, what I still have to do, and there's no doubt that it's going to be done is:
- Free some mansions of a ghost plague together with an underhyped but comically likeable Italian called Luigi.
- Fill up a gap in my education and my future curriculum and finally complete Super Mario World!!! Listen to this soundtrack and then look into my eyes and say that it hasn't become an earworm to you:
- Rescue a certain princess two times, first discovering the beauty of the seasons and then even travelling through different ages to save the world once and for all... Well, until the next Zelda game comes out. Which is this autumn. I'm going to die.
- Transform into an Axew and explore dungeons
- Play my first Castlevania (and this being a huge Metroid fan, I know what you're thinking, this makes no sense...)
- Hunt monsters
And I think that's all. As you can see, now that I'm 17 (I can't say it enough times ^.^), I'm more serious about my future and I plan carefully how I'm going to make use of the three upcoming months. Ah, right, I forgot to say that this list is in the opposite order of priority. So the first ones are obviously the dispensable options and then things are getting more important until the last plan.
Finally, I'd like to apologize for all the insider content about gaming, but explaining every game would take more than 6 yoursays and thus more than a 10 as a mark. Since the latter consequence is not possible, applying a simple Modus Tollens we can deduct that it's also impossible for me to explain all the games. Nothing but pure logic. Ask Albert if you have any questions.
I just can't stop doing insider freak jokes...
Talking about insider jokes, try to find all the How I Met Your Mother references in this post, there are 3! A little hint: two of them are very close to each other.
