Here is the original text of my email writing homework:
"Hello Sonia!
Well, you told us to write you an email with a presentation
of ourselves. But as you already said, you know many of your students from last
year. And I'm obviously one of them. So I thought if I write a mere
presentation it would be rather irrelevant and it may bore you to read it.
Eventually, I decided to tell you about my summer this year.
Perhaps I should remind you of my facebook status from the end of August. I
shared with everyone that I would return to Spain the 2th of September (Or was
it the 3rd? I can't remember, hahaha) after two cool months in Germany. Well,
not really "cool". It was actually quite hot many days.
During those two months I had been to three diferent places.
And I never travelled so much alone. First, I accompanied Lena to her new home
in Germany. She's now living in Munster (now I've got to reveal private
information) which is a little city in Niedersachsen. It's in the northern part
of Germany and its capital is Hannover. I had two very relaxing weeks there and
her family was very kind to me. Around the 26th of August they had to go to
Bavaria to a celebration for the 90th birthday of Lena's grand aunt.
So I had to leave and I went to visit my grandparents which
live in Kusel, a REALLY little city in Rheinland-Pfalz in the southern-west
part in Germany. It was very nice to see them again after two long years! My
poor grandfather suffered a stroke in September 2010 and the left side of his
body was paralyzed. But luckily he did a therapy with success and now he feels
a lot better. He has to walk with a cane but he's in a very good condition. I
also met my best friend who lives there and we did a lot of crazy things
together. We went two times after midnight to an old castle which is near his
house. There we climbed up a wall and sat down on a place with a really amazing
view of the landside. And we talked about a lot of things and had our
philosofical moments.
But I missed Lena too bad and I couldn't return without
seeing her another time. I decided to take a train to go another time to
Munster where I could stay for two more weeks. You see, her mother is really
kind and did me big favour for letting me stay so many days. This second time
we had two very special experiences in the last weekend. We had the luck to fly
with a sailplane and enjoy an outstanding view from over 500 metres. It was a
pity that we both didn't feel very well that day and we couldn't fly for a long
time but it was definitely worth it! And the next day we visited the Heidepark,
a very well known theme park in Germany! We had so much fun there and our last
attraction was a new roller coaster. First, Lena was very excited to ride it. A
few minutes before she cursed the whole world. After the ride, she felt very happy
and thought it was cool!
Finally, my last travel station waited for me: Frankfurt am
Main. My uncle lives in Offenbach, a city which is next to Frankfurt and thanks
to him I could see some things of this amazing city. You can see my pictures in
Facebook if you're interested!
Well, as you see, I had a great summer. Those were some
really nice experiences and I enjoyed the time a lot.
I hope you will also have a good time when you go to Berlin ;)"
